Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC), one of 18 colleges in the United World College (UWC) network, is home to some 257 students from over 90 countries. Offering the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), the college provides a broad and dynamic curriculum featuring non-traditional subjects such as environmental systems and societies, global politics and marine science.

Learning extends beyond the classroom through programmes like Quan Cai (Chinese for “whole person development”), Project Week and Intercultural Evenings, as well as initiatives focused on sustainability, community engagement and leadership development.

At LPCUWC, students are inspired to explore their passions, tackle global challenges, and become changemakers for a sustainable future.

Chinese learning
IBDP Chinese is offered in three streams: A (proficient), B (intermediate) and Ab Initio (beginner), with instruction in Mandarin and oral exams available in Cantonese.
Subjects offered at secondary
IB subjects fall into six categories: the arts, individuals and societies, language acquisition, language and literature, mathematics and science.

HKID cardholders should apply online, participating in three selection rounds: application, Challenge Day and a final interview. Others can apply through 150+ UWC National Committees.
