American School Hong Kong
Summary
American School Hong Kong (ASHK) is a through-train KG (Reception) to Grade 12 international school, fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Organization. ASHK is owned and operated by Esol Education, benefiting from the organisation’s nearly 50 years of global experience in running high-standard American international schools.
ASHK’s inquiry- and concept-based approach helps students develop relevant skills. From KG to Grade 10, students follow the US Common Core curriculum, transitioning to the IB Diploma Programme for Grades 11 and 12.
The STEAM programme teaches students to ask critical questions, research and develop solutions, build prototypes, and then test, evaluate and redesign them. Intellectual growth is central but ASHK also emphasises social, physical, emotional and creative development.
