Hong Kong International School (HKIS) is a non-profit American-style school serving students from Reception 1 to Grade 12. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a member of the East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS).

Chinese learning
Chinese language learning is a core part of the curriculum from Reception 1 through Grade 5 in the main track. Students may also apply for the Dual Language Program, where approximately half of academic instruction is delivered in English and half in Chinese. In Grades 6 to 12, students have the option to continue their Chinese studies through elective courses.
